Working in partnership, the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) promotes and funds high-quality, cost-effective teaching and research, meeting the diverse needs of students, the economy and society.
HEFCE is investing over £1.5 million in projects to enable the higher education sector to continue to play an important role in the economic recovery.
A report published today by HEFCE shows an increase in students studying 'vulnerable' subjects such as physics, chemistry and maths.
